MULTICULTURAL CAMPUS PROJECT TOWARD SOCIAL IMPACT
This project, launched in FY2024, aims to build a multicultural co-learning education system through issue-driven experiential learning in collaboration with the Town & Gown initiative. By fostering a society of multicultural coexistence, the project seeks to translate multicultural educational and research activities into “social impact” that goes beyond proposing solutions and extends to real-world implementation.
Inter-University Exchange Project
The Inter-University Exchange Project is a MEXT-supported initiative designed to develop and implement quality-assured education programs for both outbound and inbound student mobility. Hiroshima University has been selected for multiple projects since FY2020.
For the FY2022 adopted project, Hiroshima University serves as the coordinating (secretariat) university, working to disseminate and promote the overall achievements of the program and to expand its outcomes horizontally across institutions.
Japanese Essay Contest
As a new initiative to promote and advance Japanese-language education overseas, Hiroshima University has been running Japanese essay contests in Vietnam and Indonesia since FY2024.
Program for Global Human Resource Development for Peacebuilding and Development
Commissioned by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hiroshima University has implemented this program since FY2024. Through training, it develops human resources in peacebuilding and development who can contribute to solving international challenges, and supports participants in building careers in international organizations.
Cooperation with JICA, UNITAR, Etc.
Hiroshima University collaborates with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), among others, to actively promote international cooperation for developing countries, human resource development, and broader international contributions.
