With the Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation (IDEC) and the Center for the Study of International Cooperation in Education (CICE) as the main players, Hiroshima University is actively participating in international cooperation projects and contributing to developing countries.

Cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)

In order to enhance the mutual cooperative relationship in respect to international cooperation for developing countries, the University and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have entered into a cooperative agreement.

Cooperation with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR)

In order to enhance the mutual cooperative relationship with respect to the operation of UNITAR's work, the University and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) entered into a comprehensive cooperative agreement on October 23 (Mon).

* UNITAR offers training for government officials, scholars, and representatives from civilian society in developing countries. Its headquarters is located in Geneva, Switzerland and the Hiroshima Office for Asia and the Pacific was established in 2003.
