Overview of the Research Project
We are analyzing the structure and formation of intracellular organelles and gene expression patterns specific to cancer cells using cell biology, molecular biology, and bioinfomatics perspectives.
Also, based on these knowlodge, we are applying to cancer diagnostics technologies and anticancer regents.
Enrollment Capacity
We are looking for 1-2 students in The IDEC Institute 3+1 Program to participate in our research in cancer biology (participation period is negotiable).
The outcomes of your participation will be compiled into a graduation thesis to be submitted to your university.
Additional Requirements
In addition to the program application requirements outlined in the application guidelines, applicants must meet the following criteria:
(1) A Fundamental Understanding of University-level Biology
Applicants must possess a solid understanding of university-level biology. Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, and hands-on experience in cell culture (e.g., through practical training) are highly desirable.
(2) Communication Skills
The lab hosts many international students, and all presentations and discussions within the lab are conducted in English. Therefore, a sufficient level of English proficiency is required for a smooth and effective communication with faculty members and other members in the lab.
