On October 21, 2026, a delegation from the People's Security Academy of Vietnam paid a courtesy visit to Hiroshima University (HU) and met with Executive Vice President (Global Initiatives) Shinji Kaneko. Professor Tran Dang Xuan of HU's IDEC Institute also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on potential academic collaboration in areas such as information science, cybersecurity, economic security, and human resource development.

Established in 1946, the People's Security Academy is a higher education institution under the direct supervision of Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security. It is one of the country's leading educational and research institutions in the fields of public security and national security. The Academy actively promotes academic exchanges and international cooperation with overseas universities and research institutions, working to enhance the quality of its education and research while advancing internationalization.

This visit is expected to further strengthen academic exchanges and collaboration with the People's Security Academy and other higher education and research institutions in Vietnam.
