On August 5, 2021, H.E. Mr. Heri Akhmadi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Japan, paid a courtesy call to the Kasumi Campus of Hiroshima University (HU) and engaged in discussion with HU President Mitsuo Ochi.
During the meeting, opinions were exchanged on HU’s education and research activities, the creation of an Indonesian alumni network and the possibility of exchange with Indonesian universities.
HU is one of the leading universities in Japan for intake of Indonesian students, with over 100 Indonesian students currently undertaking their studies at HU.
It is hoped that exchanges with Indonesian universities and research institutions will continue to flourish going forward.
