On May 27, 2025, a delegation led by Dean Bjørn-Reidar Sørensen from the Faculty of Engineering, the Arctic University of Norway, paid a courtesy visit to Hiroshima University’s Higashi-Hiroshima Campus and held discussion with Executive Vice President Shinji Kaneko (Global Initiatives). The meeting was also attended by Professor Kenji Kawai and Associate Professor Sayaka Kindaichi of the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, and Associate Senior Research Manager Sushil Raut from the IDEC Institute.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the possibility of faculty exchange in the fields of energy, architecture, construction, and materials.
The Arctic University of Norway, founded in 1968 in Tromsø, northern Norway, is the northernmost university in the world and is known as an international center for Arctic studies. We hope that this visit will be an opportunity to promote exchanges with the Arctic University of Norway and other universities and research institutions in Norway.
