Inter-university Agreement between HU and Mae Fah Luang University (Thailand)

On December 13, 2016, Hiroshima University concluded an Inter-university Agreement with Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand (MFU) on its Higashi-Hiroshima Campus.

Among the delegation of three faculty members from MFU were President Vanchai Sirichana and Vice President Chayaporn Wattanasiri. After paying a courtesy visit to President Mitsuo Ochi, the two presidents then signed the agreement.

Mae Fah Luang University is a national university located in the north of Thailand. Up until now, MFU has concluded departmental agreements with two of HU’s graduate schools - the Graduate School of Social Sciences and the Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation - through which they have promoted faculty exchanges between departments in the area of Social Sciences. In future, the two universities plan to further promote mutual academic exchange through means such as HU’s acceptance of international students from MFU.

It is expected that further progress in academic exchange between the two universities will be greatly developed.
