Vice President Michael Quante of the University of Münster, Germany, Visits HU

On April 10th 2017, Dr. Michael Quante, the Vice President of the University of Münster, visited Hiroshima University's Higashi-Hiroshima Campus and paid a courtesy visit to HU President Mitsuo Ochi.

During the meeting, Vice President Quante looked back on the exchange activities that had been conducted by him and Prof. Gotou (HU Graduate School of Letters) in the field of philosophy, and discussed the furthering of future interactions between the two universities.

Up until now, Hiroshima University (especially its Graduate School of Letters and the Hiroshima Synchrotron Radiation Center) has participated in steady academic exchange with the University of Münster. In February 2017 the two universities concluded an inter-university exchange agreement, and plan to enter into a further student exchange agreement in order to facilitate student exchange.

It is expected that academic exchange between the two universities will continue to develop.
