2006 Hiroshima University Student Induction Ceremony



Induction Ceremony

On Tuesday, April 4, the 2006 Hiroshima University Student Induction Ceremony commenced at the Higashi-Hiroshima town of Taguchi in Saijo, at the Higashi-Hiroshima Athletic Park Gymnasium where a total of 3,840 undergraduate, graduate, and specialist students began their new academic lives.



After the Declaration of Induction Permission, University President Muta instructed them about the importance of learning with goals, saying, "People grow stronger through the holding of firm goals, and will act without faltering in achieving those goals." He went on to say that "our Attainable Goal System Education Program, instituted in April, is a huge reform for our school's departments, and is a new experiment in order to ensure the learning power of each student." Finally, he spoke words of encouragement, saying "We look forward to cultivating talent which will of high value to society and talent which understands our university's philosophy of education."
