HU Concludes an Agreement on Student Exchange with CSIR-CMERI in India

On January 18 2018, Hiroshima University concluded an agreement on student exchange with CSIR - Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI) in India. Dr. Harish Hirani, Director of this institution, visited the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus of HU, and signed the agreement with President Mitsuo Ochi.

So far, HU and CSIR-CMERI have developed joint research mainly in the field of engineering. We are hoping that the conclusion of this agreement will help us to promote human resource development through our future student exchange.

Through its TAOYAKA Program for Creating a Flexible, Enduring, Peaceful Society (Leading Graduate Education Program adopted by MEXT) and the JAPAN-INDIA International Linkage Degree Program for Developing Innovators Transforming Advanced Technology to Social Goals (Inter-University Exchange Project adopted by MEXT), HU are actively promoting educational and research exchange with universities and other research institutions in India.

It is hoped that exchange between the two institutions will flourish even further.
