HU holds Study Abroad Information Session in Beijing

On May 26th 2018, Hiroshima University held a study abroad information session in Capital Normal University of China, in which the HU Beijing Research Center is located. Together with the 5 graduate schools and 1 program (*) from HU, the Embassy of Japan in China, as well as the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Beijing Representative Office, participated in the session. Throughout the session, around 90 Chinese students visited the venue. This time, Chairperson Lin Zuoping from the Hiroshima University-China Friendship Meeting, also attended the event.

At the general briefing session, a study abroad advisor from the Embassy of Japan in China gave an outline of study abroad in Japan. Representatives from HU then explained about each graduate school, as well as the Morito Higher Education Institute 3+1 Program. Afterwards, the participating institutions and graduate schools conducted individual consultations at their respective booths, giving detailed and useful information to participating students.

HU has been selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) for the “Top Global University Project” as one of Japan’s top 13 universities (Type A), and is actively recruiting international students. Aside from this fair in Beijing, in 2018 HU plans to hold further study abroad information sessions in several different countries. Through such activities, it is anticipated that a larger number of students from overseas will enroll at HU.
