It has been one month since an unprecedented torrential rain struck many parts of western Japan, and full-scale restoration work has been implemented at the disaster-affected areas.
There have been no devastating damage within and around the campus, and the areas are deemed safe. By conducting a survey to all the international students to ascertain their safety, we have been able to confirm the safety of all 1,664 of the international students studying at HU following the downpour above.
To the families of the international students at HU:
As all the classes have resumed from 17 July, and the make-up classes and exams are expected to be completed by 9 August 2018, please feel assured that all the international students at HU are back to their daily routines on campus by then.
