The orientation covered the topics of classes, dormitory, disaster prevention, club introductions, practical group project, and Japanese customs and behavioral codes for students who now will start a new life at Hiroshima University.

In group work multinational students formed several groups and discussed Japanese cultural concepts. This is to connect students with diverse cultural backgrounds through discussion and enhance understanding about Japanese society. Students conducted very interesting and unique presentations on their analysis of insider/outsider concepts and hierarchical relationships. Hiroshima University Cheering Squad and Sumo Club members also came and presented their energetic performance to support HUSA students.
