Hiroshima University President Mitsuo Ochi is selected as one of the MICE ambassadors by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). MICE stands for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions. 

The MICE Ambassador Program appoints and supports the activities of the MICE ambassadors. Academia and industry experts who have a strong network of contacts within and outside Japan, and are active in promoting the country as the host of international conferences are chosen as ambassadors by the JNTO. This brings the total number of MICE ambassadors to 69.
