International Exchange Students from Université Toulouse - Jean Jaurès, France, and USA (HUSA Program) Attended the Extension Lecture of Pedagogy Program for Kagawa High School Affiliated with Ube Frontier University

On July 15, 2021, international exchange students, Mr. Jean Naujac, from Université Toulouse - Jean Jaurès, France (HUSA 2020-2021) and Mr. Kyle Kisner, from USA (HUSA 2019-2020) participated in the Online Hiroshima University Extension Lecture of Pedagogy Course, Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, for Kagawa High School Affiliated with Ube Frontier University. The 1st lecture was on “Japan-Korea Exchange from Tourism Perspective: Practice of Education for International Understanding” (Dr. Yoshikazu Ogawa), where students learned significance of tourism for development of international understanding and international peace. The 2nd lecture was on “Internationalization of University and Intercultural Understanding” (Dr. Naomi Tsunematsu) where international students joined and shared their culture shock and reverse culture shock experiences. Attendance of international students became a new intercultural experience for high school students. We will continue to develop international education that can connect high school students with university education from global perspectives.
