The 2022 Commencement Ceremony (Graduation Ceremony) will be held as follows.

    Degrees will be conferred by HU's President at the same venue after the commencement ceremony.

Handling of masks at Commencement Ceremony (Graduation Ceremony)

●Graduating students, faculty and staff are kindly requested to remove their masks during the Commencement Ceremony, including the entrance and exit, conferment of the diploma and academic degree, and the farewell and acknowledgment speeches etc.

●Families are kindly requested to wear masks during the Graduation Ceremony.

1.Access to Higashi-Hiroshima Sports Park

●About 900 cars can be parked at Higashi-Hiroshima Sports Park Gymnasium. (There is a room to park every year.)
   Temporary buses are crowded, please consider coming to the venue by car.

● The schedule of the temporary bus service to the Higashi-Hiroshima Sports Park is as follows.

Service starts at 9:10 a.m. 
Time required Approx. 10 to 30 minutes
(The time required varies depending on the traffic conditions.)

 JR Saijo Station → Daigaku-Kaikan Mae (Bus Stop on the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus) Time required: About 20 minutes、Fare: 290 yen

※1 The venue and the roads around the venue are expected to be crowded from one hour before the commencement of the ceremony. In particular, since it will take some time to go by bus from the Daigaku-Kaikanmae bus stop at the Higashi-Hiroshima campus to the venue due to the congestion of the surrounding roads (It may take 30 minutes to get on), please allow enough time to reach the venue.
※2 There is no temporary bus service from JR Saijo Station and JR Higashi-Hiroshima Station (bullet train). Please take regular bus service.

※3 After the entrance ceremony (around noon), temporary bus services will be available from the venue to Daigaku-Kaikanmae bus stop.
There is no bus from Higashi-Hiroshima Sports Park to Saijo Station. Please take the bus from the Sanjyo-bara bus stop or consider the route of Higashi-Hiroshima Sports Park→Daigaku-Kaikanmae → JR Saijo Station.

2.About the Precautions for measures against the COVID-19 infection

●To graduating students and their families
・If you have a cold symptom such as fever, please refrain from visiting the venue or the campus.
・Please take measures to prevent infection such as wearing a mask when visiting the ceremony venue and campus.

●To HU students
・we request you to kindly refrain from coming to the venue.

※If there is any significant change in the infection status in the future, the method of holding this ceremony may be changed. Thank you for your understanding.
