President Sun Jiangcang of Heze University, China, Visits HU and Signs an Inter-University International Exchange Agreement

On April 25, 2024, a delegation led by President Sun Jiangcang of Heze University, China, visited the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus of Hiroshima University (HU) and concluded an inter-university international exchange agreement on academic and educational exchange and an annex on the implementation of the Morito Institute of Global Higher Education 3+1 Program, one of HU’s unique program for the acceptance of international students.
The delegation then engaged in a meeting with Vice President for International Exchange and Japanese Language Education Kazuhiko Koike and others to exchange views on the possibility of international exchange and research cooperation between the two universities.

Heze University was established in 1949 under the name of the Second Normal School in Jiluyu District, and is now one of the major universities in China. It is also committed to internationalization by building friendly cooperation relationships with more than 20 universities in the U.S., Canada, Japan, Australia and so on, implementing unique training programs that incorporate cultural experiences and camps.

HU has concluded 131 inter-university international exchange agreements with 117 institutions and 84 inter-faculty international exchange agreements with 80 institutions in China. Currently, there are 1,322 international students from China studying at HU. With this visit, HU will promote exchange with Heze University as well as other universities and research institutions in China.
