[Announcement] Today's 75+75th Hiroshima University anniversary ceremony, commemorative events, and university festival proceeding as planned

Due to expected delays and cancellations on the Sanyo Main Line, Kure Line, and Kabe Line, along with advisories for elderly residents to take precautionary measures due to rain in some areas, today's 75+75th Anniversary Ceremony and Commemorative Events will proceed as scheduled but on a reduced scale. However, we strongly urge guests coming from outside Higashi-Hiroshima City to avoid unnecessary travel.

The start time of the University Festival has been adjusted from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The anniversary ceremony and events will also be live-streamed in real-time here: https://www.youtube.com/live/_PfGOKsnxBQ.

Since the weather is expected to improve in the afternoon, we encourage those planning to attend to check local news, as well as train and bus websites, for updates on transportation status.

Tomorrow, Sunday (November 3), all events for the anniversary celebration and festival will proceed as planned.

Note: Mr. Tanaka's talk show will not be available for public viewing during the live stream. During that segment, it will switch to a standby screen and have the sound muted.

Thank you,
Hiroshima University 75th Anniversary Project Committee
