Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a UK-based higher education evaluation organization, released the QS World University Rankings 2027 on June 18, 2026. In this ranking, Hiroshima University (HU) ranked among the top 10 national universities in Japan.
The QS World University Rankings assess the overall performance of universities based on a range of indicators, including Academic Reputation, Citations per Faculty, Employer Reputation, Faculty Student Ratio, and internationalization.
HU achieved higher scores in several indicators, particularly Employer Reputation, which is based on QS surveys of employers and human resources professionals around the world. As a result, HU maintained its position among the top 10 national universities in Japan for the second consecutive year.
