In response to the magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck central Myanmar on March 28, 2025, Hiroshima University collected emergency relief funds from March 31 to April 18 as part of its humanitarian support for affected students and faculty members.

By May 20, a total of 641,000 yen had been collected. Of this amount, 180,000 yen was provided to Hiroshima University students and faculty members whose families were impacted by the disaster. The remaining 461,000 yen was donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society to support relief efforts in Myanmar.
