Since FY2007, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has implemented the "Global Human Resource Development Project for Peacebuilding and Development." This project, initiated in response to then-Foreign Minister Aso's policy speech, "We will create a 'Terakoya' (private school) for peacebuilders," aims to cultivate civilian experts from Japan, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa who can play active roles in peacebuilding to address global challenges such as war and poverty.
This project provides opportunities for learning and practice to those contributing on the ground, from life-saving emergency relief to long-term efforts toward building sustainable societies. We are now soliciting designs for a logo mark that symbolizes the ideals and aspirations of this project, which supports a new step in the career development of those dedicated to peace and development.
We sincerely look forward to your applications.
