【November 28, 2025】JASID Pre-Conference Event―Practicing Peace: A Dialogue between Academia and Professionals from the Field

JASID Pre-Conference Event Co-Hosted by Hiroshima University’s International Peace and Co-existence Program (IPC) and Network for Education and Research on Peace and Sustainability (NERPS)

On Friday November 28, Hiroshima University is hosting a JASID pre-conference event at the Multipurpose Space (1F), MIRAI CREA, from 18:00 to 19:30 (across from the IDEC Building).

Under the Program for Global Human Resource Development for Peacebuilding and Development, commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the FY2025 Primary Course is being conducted at the Higashi-Hiroshima campus. This training brings together 24 Japanese and international professionals from diverse sectors (government, NGOs, and UN) to learn the latest trends in peacebuilding, international development issues, and skills for working in international organizations.

This is a unique opportunity for academic researchers participating in the JASID Conference to engage in an informal dialogue with these associates. They will share their first-hand experiences from their countries and suggest ways to enhance collaboration between the research and teaching communities and practitioners in the field.

Everyone is welcome to this event!
