Research Institute for Nanodevice and Bio Systems

Research Institute Overview

As well as seeking to further develop and blend research into semiconductor nanotechnology and biotechnology, the Research Institute for Nanodevice and Bio Systems promotes the development of express polyspecimen diagnostic systems for biomolecules and microscopic organisms on silicon devices. With a view to the achievement of a society with advanced medical care and welfare based on these foundations, this Institute is aiming to build a hub for expanding its research into nanobiology and medical engineering in order to realize ubiquitous diagnosis, early diagnosis of illnesses, and preventive medicine, as well as nurturing the personnel required for this. (Established following the restructuring of the Research Center for Nanodevices and Systems on May 1, 2008)

Message from the Research Institute

The Research Institute for Nanodevice and Bio Systems is actively recruiting postgraduate students in the fields of material physics, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, information engineering, and communication engineering from within the university and beyond, who are interested in practical research in fields such as medical engineering and bio-sensing. We also accept international researchers, exchange students, visiting scholars, and mature PhD candidates, so you will be able to study in a cosmopolitan, international atmosphere.
