The 2019 Entrance Ceremony To Be held on April 3rd

The 2019 Entrance Ceremony will be held as follows.
The ceremony will be broadcast via YouTube Live.

Notes:
We encourage you to use public transportation due to the limited space in the parking lot at the Park. Special bus services will be available from Higashi-Hiroshima campus, JR Saijo Station (Local train), and Higashi-Hiroshima Station (Shinkansen).

If you come by car, please park your car at a temporary or normal parking space on Higashi-Hiroshima campus and take a free shuttle bus to the venue.

Information about the special bus service to Higashi-Hiroshima Sports Park

(1) From Higashi-Hiroshima Campus
Boarding from Daigaku-Kaikanmae Bus Stop.

  • Service starts at 8:40 a.m. [Timetable (PDF:267KB)]
  • Time Required: About 10-30 minutes
    *Travel time will depend on traffic conditions.
  • Fare: Free (nonstop to the venue)
    *Free tickets will be distributed at the bus stop
(2) From JR Saijo Station

  • Service starts at 9:15 a.m. [Timetable (PDF:300KB)]    
  • Time Required: About 30 minutes
  • Fare: 380 yen (nonstop to the venue)
(3) From Higashihiroshima Station (Shinkansen)

Estimated time and fare from JR Hiroshima station
  • from JR Hiroshima Station (Hiroshima city) to JR Saijo Station (Closest local train station to Higashi-Hiroshima Campus)
    Time: about 35 minutes / Fare: 580 yen
  • JR Saijo Station to DaigakuKaikan Mae (Bus stop on Higashi-Hiroshima Campus)
    Time: about 20 minutes / Fare: 290 yen

*In order to avoid congestion, please be sure to arrive well in advance. The venue starts to become crowded around an hour before the opening and a traffic jam is expected around the area. It's not allowed to park on the street or private property around the venue.

*Seats for companions are available on the second floor of the Main Arena. Please note that the number of seats is limited and you may need to stand during the ceremony. The live broadcasting of the ceremony is available at the Sub Arena on the second floor.

*After the ceremony (around 12:00 p.m.), special bus services will be available from the venue. For more detailed information, please check the timetables above. The return bus stops at Hirodai-Chuoguchi and Hirodai-Nishiguchi before arriving at Daigaku-Kaikanmae. Please click here (PDF:710KB) to view the spots from which to get the buses.
