Hiroshima University has created a commemorative TV commercial to widely publicize its 75+75th anniversary. The commercial has been posted on the university’s official YouTube channel.
The commemorative commercial for Hiroshima University's 75+75 anniversary consists of two versions.
The “History of Hiroshima University” version reflects on the past through historical photographs, highlighting the significant milestone of 150 years. In 2024, the university commemorates 75 years since its establishment under a new system in 1949, and also marks 150 years since the founding of the Hakushima School, its oldest predecessor, in 1874. The commercial showcases a wrapped tram as a prominent symbol of “Hiroshima University running alongside Hiroshima.”
The “Together at Hiroshima University” version introduces panoramic views of the Higashi-Hiroshima, Kasumi, and Higashi-Senda campuses, depicting the vibrant community where many international students enjoy learning. It also illustrates the unity of students, faculty, and staff moving forward together towards the future.
Please take a moment to watch the commercial. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and encouragement for Hiroshima University!
Note: The commercial is no longer available as its publication period has ended.
