On July 26, 2024, the award ceremony for the Hiroshima University International Student Video Contest was held at the Central Library Library Hall.

The purpose of this contest was to promote overseas public relations by international students as part of Hiroshima University's international strategy. At the end of the previous year, international students were asked to submit a three-minute video introducing Hiroshima University to students in their home countries.

After a preliminary screening based on internal voting and a second selection by a panel of judges, the following prizes were awarded.

• Grand Prize: 5 works
• Awards for Excellence: 7 works
• Honorable Mention Award: 11 works

The five grand prize winners have been appointed as Hiroshima University International Student Recruitment Ambassadors, who will promote the attractiveness of Hiroshima University to students in their home countries!

In his congratulatory address at the ceremony, Executive Vice President Kaneko praised the high quality of the entries in the memorable first contest and stressed the importance of international students sharing their knowledge and experiences gained at Hiroshima University with their juniors in their home countries, and expressed his expectations for their future activities as Recruitment Ambassadors.
