Under the School Education Law, all universities are obliged to be evaluated by an accreditation organization certified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology at least once in every seven years.

Hiroshima University in accordance with this law received certified evaluation and accreditation in the light of eleevn standards stipulated by the National Institution for Academic Degrees and Unievrsity Evaluation, and as a result, was judged to meet all standards, and was given the status as a qualified institution.

In the reslt of the evaluation, different dimensions to that of the 11 standards, 19 programs including the Phoenix Scholorship, HiPOSPECTS(R), and awarded situions of GP were evaluated as being excellent.
