The 2006 Hiroshima University Excellent Student Scholarship was awarded to 52 freshmen, 80 sophomore and above students, and 84 graduate students for a total of 216 students. The recipients were informed via the Momiji electronic message board. Recipients were chosen based on their outstanding academic achievements. Freshman recipients receive a 200,000 yen scholarship and sophomore and above, as well as graduate students, will have their semester paid for by the school.
