We signed an International Exchange Agreement with Cairo University (Egypt)(Related Video)



On December 21, Hiroshima University and Cairo University (Egypt) signed an International Exchange Agreement for the purposes of academic and educational exchange.

Prior to the agreement signing, Hiroshima University President Ochi and Cairo University President held a press conference on December 20th in front of the Great Sphinx of Giza near Cairo. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Egypt Takehiro Kagawa, Archaeological Minister of Egypt, and Minister of Higher Education in Egypt, joined the press conference as guests.

Cairo University is a national university representing Egypt, and international students all over the world gather here for archeology. With the signing of this agreement, both universities aim to activate academic exchanges in a wide range of fields and promote student exchanges. Also, Cairo University has a Faculty of Arts, Department of Japanese Language and Literature. We are planning to accept students learning Japanese.
