On May 5th 2016, Hiroshima University and CEU Cardenal Herrera University (Spain) concluded the Agreement of Academic and Educational Exchange. President Ochi paid a courtesy visit to Rector Rosa Maria Visiedo Claverol at CEU Cardenal Herrera University and signed the agreement. They shook hands firmly afterwards.

CEU Cardenal Herrera University is highly engaged in internationalization of the university and planning active international collaborations such as exchanging students and accepting Hiroshima University students who are studying Spanish. With this agreement, both universities hope to promote international exchanges including researcher exchange between the two universities.
