A team led by Yusei Myoken, a fourth-year student in the School of Engineering, won the Grand Prize at the 2023 Campus Venture Grand Prix Chugoku Area Competition. Additionally, the team comprising Taishi Senda and Ajdari Mohammad, second-year students in the School of Integrated Arts and Sciences, Department of Integrated Global Studies, received a special award. Tina Thongam from the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, along with her team, was also recognized with an encouragement award.

Myoken's winning team proposed the "Student Information Portal Site 'ama,'" a web media service targeting university students in Hiroshima Prefecture. This portal will offer a wide range of practical information for student life, from admission to graduation, including details about food bank activities organized by "C." (C dot: Hiroshima University Food Bank Circle and Student Organization), also led by Myoken, opportunities for becoming haircut models at local salons, and job-hunting information. The initiative aims to enhance students' social experiences, foster youth-driven entrepreneurship, contribute to regional revitalization, and strengthen ties between students, businesses, and the local community.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Myoken said, "I am extremely pleased that the service, which began to take shape based on the discomfort I felt when I came to Hiroshima from Kansai at the same time as entering Hiroshima University, has been recognized. I want to create an environment where students can find more 'excitement for their careers' in Hiroshima."

The award ceremony took place on January 17 in Hiroshima City. Myoken's team is now gearing up to participate in the national competition of the Campus Venture Grand Prix, scheduled for February 27.
