NHK's International Broadcast to Showcase a “Japanese Mathematics” Class from the Attached Shinonome Junior High School



NHK’s International Broadcast (NHK BS1 in Japan) will introduce a lesson of Japanese mathematics “Wasan” held by Mr. Kazuyuki Kanbara, vice-principal of Hiroshima University Attached Shinonome Junior High School in their program “Begin Japanology.” It was previously broadcast on NHK HISTORIA in November of last year. The aim of this program, “Begin Japanology,” is to share information about Japanese culture across the globe, introducing a wide range of topics from history and traditional culture, up to the latest trends. It’s recorded in English as primary audio, but there is also Japanese used as secondary audio.
