
Commemoration Ceremony
The attached kindergarten, founded in 1966 celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. On October 18 (SUN), a commemoration ceremony was held. Higashi Hiroshima city Mayor Yoshio Kurata, Higashi Hiroshima city Superintendent of Education Board Seiji Shitakawa and many guests gathered for this ceremony.
3 guests including Mayor Kurata gave a congratulatory address in the ceremony. The kindergarten’s support society, “Yuuyuu-no-kai” “50th Anniversary project” gifted an embroidered national flag, kindergarten’s flag, and tent. The kindergarten children happily sang their school song and celebrated the 50th anniversary.
Graduate School of Education Professor Kazuya Edagawa (tenor), Mrs. Akiko Goto (violin), and Mrs. Yasuko Edagawa (piano) performed a celebratory recital and the kindergarten children were able to experience a powerful performance.
After the recital, current kindergarten children, graduated kindergarten children, parents and guardians released colorful balloons into the blue sky, carrying their dreams and wishes.
On a fine autumn day, the wonderful ceremony was filled with smiles.
