The 73rd Hiroshima University Academic Lecture Meeting: Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration at the University of Cambridge was held



On September 1st, Hiroshima University hosted an academic lecture meeting by Dr. Tim Minshall of the University of Cambridge, Reader in Technology and Innovation Management, at the Higashi-Senda Innovative Research Center, Higashi-Senda campus. The lecture was about Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration at the University of Cambridge.

After the opening remarks given by Prof. T. Takata, Executive Vice President of Hiroshima University, Dr. Tim Minshall talked about his experiences in various Industry-Academia-Government collaboration projects including research collaborations with firms, and explained clearly his knowledge of new technology ventures at St. John’s Innovation Centre, which is famous as a business incubator.

There were about 60 people in the audience listening intently, and having an active Question and Answer session between industry, academia, and government. The lecture was very informative with useful ideas and insights for Hiroshima University as well as in local communities.
