On February 2nd, 2017, Hiroshima University concluded inter-institutional exchange agreements with Mohamed V University, Rabat and High National School of Mining, Rabat of Morocco.

Prof. Saaid Amzazi, President of Mohamed V University, Rabat and Prof. Driss Ouazar, Director of High National School of Mining, Rabat paid a courtesy visit to HU President Mitsuo Ochi and both universities signed inter-institutional exchange agreements with HU. An active exchange of opinions was held to discuss the exchange of people, especially students, in order to facilitate interaction in future.

After that, a meeting was held with the deans of the Graduate School of Science, Graduate School of Engineering, and Graduate School of Advanced Sciences of Matter. They had a discussion on future research collaborations and student exchange in the field of science.

With the conclusion of these proceedings, inter-institutional exchange agreements signed between HU and universities in Morocco now adds up to three in total, following the agreement signed with Mohamed Premier University, Oujda in September, 2016. An additional agreement with Moulay Ismail University Meknes is looking to be finalized in the near future.
