On March 23rd 2017, the President of Shanghai Normal University in China, Prof. ZHU Ziqiang visited the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus of Hiroshima University and had a meeting with President Mitsuo Ochi.

During the meeting they exchanged opinions on the current situation of inter-university exchange and cooperation, especially student exchange between HU and SHNU. President ZHU Ziqiang, who has a career experience at HU, reminisced about his time spent here.

HU has an inter-university agreement with Shanghai Normal University, and has an overseas base in the campus of SHNU. It is expected that exchanges between the two universities will be further promoted.
