The 2005-6 Hiroshima University Graduation Ceremony



Students celebrate graduation.

The 2005-6 Hiroshima University Graduate Ceremony took place on March 23 (Thursday) in the Higashi-Hiroshima town of Taguchi in Saijo, at the Higashi-Hiroshima Athletic Park Gymnasium where 2, 474 undergraduate students, 16 specialists, and 1,411 graduate students, totaling 3,901 in all, participated in the graduation ceremony. At the ceremony, the graduate and undergraduate classes received their diplomas and graduation certificates from University President Muta, who offered the following words to the new graduates as a final gift, "In wanting to be a university which fosters talented students who hold the desire to take on challenges and take actions, it is our hope that you, who have strived to pursue knowledge, will continue to understand the meaning of our slogan 'take on challenges, take action,' and live by it on your various paths as you enter society."
