On Monday, April 3, the Hiroshima University Pharmacology Department's Signboard Unveiling and Founding Celebration was held at the Higashi-Hiroshima Kasumi Campus of Hiroshima University in the lobby of the newly-founded department. After a speech by the Dean of the Pharmacology Department, Professor Shigeru Ohta, University President Muta, Vice President Yuge, as well as staff, students, and esteemed professors, 70 in total, watched as the new signboard for the department was unveiled. The new signboard's characters were all handwritten by President Muta himself. The festivities continued at the Koujin Kaikan where President Muta and many others affiliated with the new department gathered to celebrate its founding.
