Principal Liu Wei of Qiqihar City Special Education School in Heilongjiang Province of China, visited HU

On May 15th 2018, Principal Liu Wei from the Qiqihar City Special Education School in Heilongjiang Province, and Deputy Secretary Liu Haihan from the Special Education College of Changchun University, visited the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus of Hiroshima University and met with Executive and Vice President Toshiyuki Sato.

Since its establishment in 1960, the Qiqihar City Special Education School has focused mainly on nine-years of compulsory education, primary technical and vocational education and higher education for hearing-impaired students. This time, Principal Liu visited HU’s Accessibility Center where he observed its learning support method for students with special needs. As well, he attended some activities of the Japanese Language and Culture Special Program together with the participants from the Special Education College of Changchun University, thus deepening the exchange between Japan and China in terms of special needs education.
