On October 23, 2006, a general agreement between Hiroshima University and United Nations Institute for Training and Research has been made. The signature ceremony was held at Hiroshima University.



UNITAR is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland and has an office for the Americas in New York. Its Hiroshima Office for Asia and the Pacific was opened in 2003.
