President Ochi was interviewed by Akhbar El-youm, an Egyptian newspaper

President Ochi was interviewed by Akhbar El-youm, one of Egypt’s biggest and highest circulated newspapers, and gave his comments on education in Egypt and Japan. His interview was issued on March 30th.

In particular, he talked Hiroshima University’s unique system called HiPROSPECTS(R) that enables individual students to steadily develop their capabilities their goals as well as some of the international exchange programs at Hiroshima University.

Furthermore, to attract as many talented students with diverse backgrounds as possible from around the world, he suggested the following: providing a healthy environment for international students to stay and study, and making visa processing less complex.

Hiroshima University established its overseas base in Cairo University in 2016 in order to promote academic and educational exchange between Hiroshima University and Egypt. So far, Hiroshima University has concluded inter-university exchange agreements with seven Egyptian universities including Cairo University, Ain Shams University, and Aswan University.
