1st exchange meeting with Japanese companies seeking to recruit international students

The event was held on December 7 at the Higashi-Hiroshima campus, where an exchange meeting between several companies and international students looking for jobs in Japan was held. The event was sponsored by the University, HU’s international students support group “Nihongo-mura@employment”, and the Saikyo Bank.

At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Hirami of the Office of Academic Research and Industry-Academia-Government and Community Collaboration, explained the situation of international students seeking jobs in Japan. Then, the 20 international participants interacted with 6 companies that came from Hiroshima and Yamaguchi.

At first, the students looked nervous, however, the atmosphere became friendlier as they proceeded with the interviews. We expect to keep working towards the placement of our international students in Japanese local companies through this kind of exchange events, as well as we hope to increase the interest of international students into working in Japan.

This exchange event was held under the research cooperation agreement between HU and the Saikyo Bank.
