Confirmed case of COVID-19 at HU (2nd report)

After one HU student tested positive for COVID-19 on November 30, 42 individuals identified as close contacts received PCR tests. As a result, two HU students tested positive. One of them has mild symptoms; the other one is asymptomatic. Both were admitted to a medical facility.

The three infected students (including the one announced on November 30) belong to the university’s handball club. The club has suspended all activities from November 30, while 13 other members remain at home for self-isolation. Following the instructions of the public health center, all classrooms and gymnasium used by the infected students were immediately closed and disinfected. The gymnasium will remain closed until December 8.

All class participants tested negative.

On December 1, HU raised its alert level from “Level 1” (be careful, minimum restrictions) to “Level 1.5” (be careful, certain restrictions) based on its Activity Restrictions Index for Preventing the Spread of COVID-19. HU will continue working with the public health center to prevent the spread of infection.
