Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida visited Hiroshima University Beijing Research Center



On April 29th, 2016, Mr. Fumio Kishida, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited Hiroshima University Beijing Research Center located on a premise of Capital Normal University to observe the center and have a discussion with students from China.

President Mitsuo Ochi, Dr. Toshiyuki Sato, Executive and Vice President (Internatinal/Peace/Fund) and Dr. Nobuharu Sato, Director of Beijing Research Center met with Foreign Minister Kishida and explained about the history of the Center’s establishment and the Master’s Double Doctorate Program with Capital Normal University.

Later, President Ochi chaired a discussion meeting between Foreign Minister Kishida and 20 Chinese students who were formerly exchange students at Hiroshima University. Minister Kishida stressed the necessity of maintaining friendship and cooperation between Japan and China. The discussion took place in a relaxed atmosphere with questions from students.
