International Students Attended the Frontier Science (FS) Lecture “Becoming International Researcher” for Hiroshima University Senior High School Students

On October 18, 2021, international students of Hiroshima University from USA, Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China attended the FS (Frontier Science) Lecture of “Super Science High School Project” titled, "Internationalization of University and Intercultural Communication : Becoming a Researcher in Global Society" (Dr. Naomi Tsunematsu, Morito Institute of Global Higher Education). This lecture was conducted for two hundred 1st year students in the high school affiliated with Hiroshima University. International exchange students who are currently staying overseas, OB students, and graduate students studying in Higashi-hiroshima shared their intercultural experiences of culture shock and reverse culture shock. For high school students, online interactions in English with international students overseas became an eye-opening educational experience. We will continue to develop international education that can connect high school students with university education together with global networking.
