Hiroshima University's School of Law held a special lecture on April 28, featuring researchers in international politics from the university and commentator Kiyotaka Nagashima from Hiroshima Television. The lecture aimed to provide a clear explanation of the significance of the G7 Hiroshima Summit and its relevance to the world, in preparation for the summit's scheduled event in May.

The lecture took place in the SENDA LAB on the 5th floor of the Higashi-Senda School Main Building L, which opened in April. There were approximately 30 participants at the venue and over 100 online participants.

During the first session, four lecturers delivered a range of presentations on the history and evolution of the G7 Summit. They discussed the summit's focus from the perspective of TV stations, the relationship between the multilateral international system and the G7, and the background of the Ukraine crisis and Canada's active support — one of the important issues on the agenda.
