[75th] [2024/6/20 Thu, Free Event] SmaSo Founding Anniversary Symposium will be held !

Overview

Hiroshima University established the "Graduate School of Innovation and Practice for Smart Society (SmaSo)" in April 2023 as a new graduate school that promotes practical research and human resource development, contributing to international cooperation through the global deployment of "Society 5.0". A symposium will be held to commemorate this establishment.

Eusebio Scornavacca

Interim Director & Professor, Arizona State University

Eusebio Scornavacca is a professor at Arizona State University, focusing on innovation and global management. Previously at the University of Baltimore, his research spans digital innovation, entrepreneurship, and ecosystems. He has an extensive global collaboration network and has published widely in academic journals. His work also involves developing multinational, cross-disciplinary educational projects.

Nagumo Takehiko

Executive Director of the Smart City Institute Japan

The Executive Director of the Smart City Institute Japan and a Thought Leader in smart cities, he works on policy proposals and information dissemination. He served as the Head of the US Operations, Corporate Planning and Risk Management at MUFG and founded a General Incorporated Association Smart City Institute Japan in 2019. He is involved in the vision for a Digital Garden City Nation and numerous smart city projects and also serves as a special invited professor at the Keio University (Grad. school of Media and Governance) and a visiting professor at the Kyoto University (Grad. school of Management).
