IDEC Accepted by the Student Exchange Support Program Based on the JENESYS Program



The Hiroshima University Graduate School for International Cooperation and Development (IDEC) was accepted by the "Student Exchange Support Program for Students in ASEAN and East Asian Countries Based on the 21st Century Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth (JENESYS) ~Commissioned by ASEAN~" program, and will begin its "Global Environmental Leader Short-term Education Program for the Development of a Sustainable Asia".



This program aims to build student ability to grasp issues from a global and mutli-faceted point of view. It also aims to build an understanding of the relationship between the environment and sustainable development in international society regarding the various issues facing today's international society, from global scale issues to local resource management problems through International Cooperation Studies.



This program is also implemented as a short-term education program as part of the "Global Environmental Leaders Education Program for Designing a Low-Carbon Society", MEXT Special Funds for Promotion of Science and Technology, FY 2008 (http://home.hiroshima-u.ac.jp/hicec/)
