Professor Satoshi Hino Wins the Shingo Prize



Professor Hino Recieves His Prize

Hiroshima University Professor Satoshi Hino of the Graduate School of Social Sciences was awarded the Shingo Prize at a ceremony held at Utah State University. The Shingo Award is given out in recognition of excellent research in the field of manufacturing systems. Professor Hino was honored for the highly acclaimed English translations of his book, published in 2002, entitled "Inside the Mind of Toyota: Management Principles for Enduring Growth."

Previously, Professor Hino worked as an engineer for Mazda, and came to the university in 2004 as a professor. His specialty is management studies, and he teaches courses in Product Development Theory and Production Control Theory.
