On August 5th, Ambassador of Mexico to Japan H.E. Mr. Carlos Fernando Almada Lopez paid a visit to the Higashi Hiroshima campus and had a discussion with President Mitsuo Ochi.

They discussed academic exchange between Hiroshima University and the universities in Mexico. Ambassador Carlos Almada expressed his expectation of Hiroshima University to play a role to facilitate more active inter-university exchanges between Mexico and Japan.

After the discussion, Ambassador Almada visited Hiroshima Synchrotron Radiation Center and Hiroshima University Museum, and keenly asked questions.

We are expecting further development of academic and cultural exchanges between universities in Mexico.
